Ya Boy speaks up and kills the rumors--the rockstar has stated that he is still a free agent and has not inked any deals, contrary to other reports. Whether these deals were in negotiations and never finalized, we aren't aware of at this time.
It was said that Ya Boy had signed to Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin records, which is backed by Fontana/Universal. This would be sort of a return to YB's roots, as his debut album was released on Deal Done in 2005, a sub-label of SMC/Fontana/Universal.
Soon after, Freeway Enterprise, a company owned by infamous Freeway Ricky Ross reported that they had signed the young MC to their label.
Today, YB stated on his
twitter account that he is not signed to either label and still carrying his flagship Black Card Music into the new year.
"Sorry 4 the confusion but NO DEAL has been finalized. I'm still unsigned its Black Card Music! Until u hear it direct from ME!"
We'll keep you posted on any further updates.
