The Answer
Is The Jacka Hanging It Up Permanently?
Published: December 6, 2009

Mob Figaz' break out star The Jacka has some doubt surrounding him as to whether his rap career will continue. Fresh off a trip overseas to grace the stage with a few shows, the Jack posted up a pretty clear message on twitter as to the status of his career.

"I hope [I've] been positive enough in my lyrics to change lives for the better because I retire as of today lifes real and u only have 1 chance"

From Jacka's mouth himself he has retired, and it's not widely known why he has decided this. Both his management and other fellow Mob Figaz denied the claim when asked about it. Others close to him such as Cellski and Lee Majors have cleared the situation up, insisting that The Jacka is just taking some time off to handle other matters more important in Jacka's life at this time.

This won't be the last we will hear of The Jacka, as countless features will appear on upcoming albums, as well as Town Records "Broad Daylight" solo album scheduled to release this month.

Coming off such a successful year it would be a shame to lose The Jacka, as he is undoubtedly one of the frontline players for the bay right now. As we all have seen, most artists never stay retired after announcing it voluntarily, but with the Jack it remains to be seen.

Update 12/18: Since the posting of this article, Jacka has openly discussed working on various projects such as Devil's Rejectz 2 with Ampichino,  and duo albums with Freeway and Laroo. So it likes like the Jack will stay active.
