Lee Majors and The Jacka join forces yet again to unleash a second installment to their original 2008 GoBots release.
The two bring it back to the original essence of hip-hop, with their ode to the 80s, The GoBots 2: D-Boy Era.
One half of the 'Bots, The Jacka, touts "D-Boy Era" as being a sample-filled ride back to the decade of breaking, DJing, and true MCing. "The beat game is ridiculous cause there's a lot of old school 80s beats and samples," explains Jacka of the project.
The GoBots 2: D-Boy Era is what Lee Majors and The Jacka had originally sought out to do with their first GoBots album. "When we realized that we didn't have what we need to do part one how we wanted to do it, we had to invite a third party and we had to involve Nick Peace and Million Dollar Dream," The Jacka admits. "Now this album is like exactly how we wanted to do part one, all the shit that we wanted to do the first time."
"D-Boy Era" hits stores in roughly 2 months, on May 18th and features Paul Wall, Keak Da Sneak, Husalah, Messy Marv, and more. The next in the GoBots series was originally penciled in to drop the same day as part 2, but will now be out later this Summer in EP form.
